Yankees third baseman Nolan Gorman left his imprint on his team's 10-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gorman was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for New York in the contest. Andre Pallante got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 5. The victory makes New York 3-6.

With New York leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Gorman hit a fastball from Nick Pivetta for a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 3-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Gorman told a New York Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
