Spirited fans greeted the Pittsburgh Pirates for their clash with the Detroit Tigers.

Detroit Tigers starter Lucas Giolito pitched a strong game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park, leading the Tigers to victory, 4-2. Giolito, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs.

Detroit used the bat of Matt McLain to get the win. The second baseman spanked a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Tigers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
