The Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Baltimore Orioles, 9-8, at Chase Field. Arizona third baseman Ryan McMahon had the hot bat. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. JoJo Romero picked up the win in relief for Arizona, while Doug Nikhazy took the loss. Baltimore, with the loss, is 8-3.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Orioles allowed the Diamondbacks to score the winning run.
