Red Sox Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
|
The Toronto Blue Jays could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Justin Steele into a win. Instead, the Boston Red Sox prevailed, 3-2, in 11 innings. Steele threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The Blue Jays fall to 3-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2025 season.
The Red Sox got a clutch hit from first baseman Spencer Torkelson. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Red Sox.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Red Sox manager Chris L.
