Dominant Performance by Ashcraft in New York Win
|
The New York Mets downed the Miami Marlins, 5-0, at Citi Field. Stellar pitching by Graham Ashcraft had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. After losing, Miami is 10-3.
Ashcraft, who was born in Huntsville, Alabama, threw 88 pitches over 6 innings, while allowing no runs.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said New York manager Craig K.
