|
The New York Yankees converted a terrific effort from starter Michael Wacha into a win over the San Francisco Giants at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees won the game by a final score of 4-2. Wacha got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. The loss drops San Francisco to 9-4.
The Yankees got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn. For the game, O'Hearn went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New York a 3-1 lead.
