Led by Dansby Swanson, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-2. Swanson went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Cubs. Los Angeles manager Jeff R said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
