Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2024, was locked in. The right-hander led the Texas Rangers to a 4-3 win against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park. Camilo Doval nailed down the save. With the loss, Seattle sinks to 7-8.

Texas used a clutch at-bat from Alex Kirilloff to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It was a good effort all around," said Kirilloff.
