|
Arizona pitcher Gavin Williams did his part in helping his team beat the Miami Marlins, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winning pitcher was Williams, now 3-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. The victory makes Arizona 13-4.
Arizona used the hitting of Isaac Paredes to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Diamondbacks on top, 2-1. For the game, Paredes had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Paredes.
