White Sox Get Clutch Win Versus Houston
|
The Chicago White Sox downed the Houston Astros, 9-8, at Guaranteed Rate Field. Nathaniel Lowe led the way, going 3-for-7 for Chicago. The win was credited to Kevin Ginkel in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Manuel Rodriguez took the loss. The White Sox have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 16 games.
The White Sox got a clutch hit from center fielder Luis Robert Jr.. In the bottom of the 15th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the White Sox.
"It never gets old," said Robert Jr.. "Winning, that is."
