Reds Slap 3-1 Loss on Seattle
|
The Cincinnati Reds earned a close win over the Seattle Mariners, thanks in part to Seth Lugo. The Cincinnati right-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The winner was Lugo. He threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Jake Irvin. Felix Bautista closed it out for his 6th save.
Brent Rooker hit a 2-run home run off Jake Irvin in the bottom of the first, which put the Reds ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Rooker had 2 doubles, while going 3 for 4.
"Feels good to get the job done," Rooker said after the game.
Seattle, with the loss, is 9-10.
