Chicago White Sox pitcher Cole Ragans was in fine form, leading his team past the Boston Red Sox, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Ragans, now 2-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Aroldis Chapman earned the save for Chicago, his 2nd.
Chicago used a clutch at-bat from Luis Urias to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Ragans.
The defending champion White Sox are off to a horrible start to the season, notching only their 6th win in 19 games.
