Freeman Lifts Yankees to 11-7 Triumph
New York center fielder Tyler Freeman was instrumental in helping the Yankees triumph, 11-7, over the Tampa Bay Rays. Freeman was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. New York pitcher Keegan Akin earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Ethan Small suffered the loss. The Rays drop to 7-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.

With New York leading 8-7 in the top of the ninth, Freeman hit a slider from Ethan Small for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 11-7.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Freeman.
