Los Angeles Sent Home with 6-3 Loss
|
Spirited fans greeted the Los Angeles Angels for their clash with the San Diego Padres.
The San Diego Padres topped the Los Angeles Angels, 6-3, in National League action at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Diego pitcher Chris Paddack. Paddack yielded 2 runs over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1.
San Diego used the hitting of Brandon Nimmo to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Padres on top, 2-0. For the game, Nimmo had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"Chris throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said San Diego manager Matt O.
The loss has the Angels at 7-12.
