Torres Goes Deep Twice in 6-0 Cubs Win
The Chicago Cubs beat the Miami Marlins, 6-0, at Wrigley Field. The win was due in part to second baseman Gleyber Torres, who went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kevin Gausman, the winning pitcher, is now 3-1. He went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits, while fanning 7 and walking 3. The loss makes Miami 12-10.

With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Torres hit a fastball from Bobby Miller for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 3-0.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Torres. "You've got to get results."
