Blue Jays Earn Late Win
Seattle got a decent performance from pitcher Tarik Skubal, but it wasn't enough to beat the Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto won the Rogers Centre contest, 4-3. Skubal threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Toronto pitcher Josh Hader got the win, upping his record to 1-4. Kyle Freeland got the loss. The loss drops Seattle to 10-11.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Max Muncy, who finished 3rd in the AL in OPS with .948 in 2022, hit a solo home run. The Blue Jays went on to win.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Muncy, "and then get after it again."
