The rain came, as predicted, but the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics were able to complete their ballgame.

Nelson Velazquez had a 3-RBI game, during San Francisco's 6-3 triumph over the Oakland Athletics. Velazquez contributed 1 single and 1 home run to the cause. Max Kranick got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. Evan Phillips notched his 1st save of the season.

With San Francisco leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Velazquez hit a fastball from Yusei Kikuchi for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 4-0.

"We're producers not directors," said Velazquez. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."

The loss drops the Athletics to 10-10.
