Houston Astros starter Jacob deGrom pitched his team past the Texas Rangers, 4-0. Houston reliever Gabe Speier was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Yuki Matsui took the loss. With the loss, Texas drops to 10-14.

Houston took a 3-0 lead on Alex Call's 1st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Call hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Texas pitcher Daniel Lynch IV visibly frustrated.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said deGrom.
