Fans watched the Cleveland Guardians and the Boston Red Sox fight to the finish.

The Guardians faced a stiff challenge from Boston pitcher Lucas Giolito, but persevered to claim a win at Progressive Field. The final score was 2-1. Giolito went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Cleveland reliever Richard Bleier picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dylan Coleman was saddled with the loss.

Alec Bohm helped out the Cleveland cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a double.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Bohm, "and then get after it again."

Cleveland goes to 16-9 with the win.
