Vientos, Braves Serve Up 13-6 Win
Good production from designated hitter Mark Vientos helped the Atlanta Braves topple the Arizona Diamondbacks, 13-6. Vientos was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Braves. The win went to Frankie Montas in relief, making him now 1-0. Gavin Williams took the loss for Arizona. Arizona, with the loss, is 19-7.

Vinnie Pasquantino had a big 2-run home run for the Braves in the top of the third inning. With Atlanta leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Gavin Williams, who leads the NL in quality starts with 5, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Braves on top, 5-2.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Vientos told the Atlanta Daily News.
