Torkelson Helps Red Sox Win, 7-2, with Pair of Homers
The Boston Red Sox defeated the Chicago Cubs, 7-2. Doing his part was first baseman Spencer Torkelson, who was 3-3 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. The win has Boston at 13-14.

With Boston leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Torkelson hit a fastball from Kevin Gausman for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 6-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Torkelson told the Boston Citizen. "It's as simple as that."
