The first-place Arizona Diamondbacks took on the Atlanta Braves in front of a spirited crowd.

Arizona pitcher Tristan Beck had a large part in his team subduing the Atlanta Braves, 3-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Mason Miller picked up his 4th save of the season.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Beck was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Atlanta trailing 2-0, Beck retired Mark Vientos, who grounded out.
