The Math Says - St. Louis Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 4th , 2025 The St. Louis Cardinals have struggled throughout this season and now they have officially been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "Obviously we knew things had not been going to smoothly, but this still stinks," said starting pitcher Shota Imanaga St. Louis hasn't yet made it to the postseason.
