Kepler Belts 5 Hits Friday, September 5th , 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Max Kepler, it came around today. The 32-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Chase Field to pace the 15-1 Arizona Diamondbacks victory over the Boston Red Sox. Boston skipper Chris L told reporters in the press room that "Kepler deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Kepler hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Max Kepler hit a solo-shot off Tanner Houck in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
