Harper: Big Hit in the American League Monday, September 22nd , 2025 Toronto fans have something to crow about today as Toronto first baseman Bryce Harper nabbed the American League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Harper. He posted a .500 average (16-for-32) this past week with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. Harper is batting at a .271 pace this season, picking up 158 hits in 584 at-bats with 36 home runs, 107 RBIs and 95 runs scored. |
