Red-Hot Bat: Adames Collects Cycle

Today at Petco Park, San Diego Padres shortstop Willy Adames accomplished a true baseball rarity, knocking a single, double, triple and a home run to hit for the cycle and lead the Padres to a win, 14-4, over the Milwaukee Brewers.
In a standout performance, Adames laced 5 hits in 6 at-bats and had 5 RBI.
"I felt good before the game, I felt good during it, and I feel great now," Adames told reporters.
Willy Adames singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Robert Suarez in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
This season, Adames has delivered 148 hits in 558 at-bats for a .265 average with 23 home runs. He is getting on base at a .343 clip and his totals also include 85 RBIs and 73 runs scored. This year Adames has played in 148 games.
