NL Honors Wood, Best Hitter in September Wednesday, October 1st , 2025 At only 23 years of age, James Wood could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks, as September was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the National League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .338 with 9 home runs, 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This year, Wood has socked 157 hits in 599 at-bats for a .262 average with 30 home runs. He is getting on base at a .359 pace and his totals also include 93 RBIs and 92 runs scored. |
