NL Rookie Hittin' on All Cylinders in September Wednesday, October 1st , 2025 Youngster James Wood emerged as the latest National League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Arizona deserved the honor, batting .338 with 9 home runs and 22 runs batted in. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Wood enjoy the limelight. Looking at his stats this year, Wood has compiled a .262 batting average, while hitting 30 home runs and driving in 93 runs. He has played in 156 games and scored 92 runs. |
