Abrams Wins AL Player of the Week Honors
Monday, June 16th , 2025
24-year-old CJ Abrams sent shock waves through Major League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Abrams made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .571 average, 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBI.
Where the Oakland Athletics shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Abrams certainly made his mark last week.
This season, Abrams is batting .241 with 7 home runs. His totals include 23 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
