Cubs Stanton Suffers Setback Sunday, July 20th , 2025 First Giancarlo Stanton got hurt and suffered back spasms. Now he is going to miss even more games. Treatment was going well until yesterday when the Cubs designated hitter overextended himself in a workout and suffered a setback. The Chicago medical staff have now revised his recovery time to at least one week. A look at his current stats shows Stanton with a .223 average, 19 home runs, 60 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has played in 99 games. |
