3-HR Dream Game for Tovar Saturday, August 2nd , 2025 Fans are still buzzing after Colorado whipped the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 8-0 at Colorado Field. Ezequiel Tovar smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the shortstop bashed out 4 hits in 4 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Tovar said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Tovar said. "Three is just... wow." Ezequiel Tovar hit a solo-shot off Brant Hurter in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Brant Hurter in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Michael Grove in the 8th. For the year, Tovar has hit at a .254 clip with 62 RBIs, 19 home runs and 43 runs scored. |
