Going, Going, Gone! Stanton Hits 3 Homers Monday, April 15th , 2024 It was a good day for the Los Angeles Angels and an exceptional one for Giancarlo Stanton. The 34-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Angels beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 9-1, at Tropicana Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Stanton said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 3 at-bats. Giancarlo Stanton hit a solo-shot off Dean Kremer in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Dean Kremer in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Dean Kremer in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a sac fly in the 9th.
