Castellanos 5-for-5 Against Blue Jays Saturday, July 6th , 2024 It was a sensational day at the plate for Nick Castellanos as he led the charge to a nifty 10-7 win over the Blue Jays. The Seattle third baseman was pure misery for the Toronto pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Castellanos put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Dan D, manager for the Blue Jays, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Nick Castellanos singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Devin Sweet in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Looking at his stats this year, Castellanos has compiled a .234 batting average, while hitting 9 home runs and driving in 54 runs. He has played in 87 games and scored 48 runs.
