Steer Slams 5 Hits for New York

Spencer Steer was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Yankee Stadium, the New York third baseman blistered the Tampa Bay Rays for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 9-0 victory.
"Steer was too tough to get out," Rays skipper Mark S said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Spencer Steer hit a three-run home run off Jack Flaherty in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Dominic Pipkin in the 8th.
This year, Steer is hitting .307, produced 58 RBIs and 20 home runs, scored 53 times and gotten on base at a .385 rate.
