Olson Pounds 3 HR Sunday, April 20th , 2025 The St. Louis Cardinals won't soon forget the display of raw power by Matt Olson of the New York Mets. He victimized the Cardinals by pounding three pitches out of Citi Field to spark his club to a win, 8-4. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Olson told reporters. "Today I was in a groove. Tomorrow, I could just pop up the same pitches and go 0-for-3." In addition to the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Matt Olson hit a solo-shot off Marcus Stroman in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Marcus Stroman in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off David Robertson in the 7th. At the moment, Olson is batting .217 with 6 home runs and 12 RBIs. He has played in 22 games and scored 10 times. |
