Trout Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Saturday, April 26th , 2025
It was almost a perfect day for Mike Trout.
The Boston center fielder displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Red Sox lost to the Cleveland Guardians, 11-8. Trout told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Boston manager Chris L told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Mike Trout singled in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Eduardo Rodriguez in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Trout is hitting .261 this year with 7 home runs and 23 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .322, 10 walks and scored 16 times.
