Atlanta Draws Blanks Against Fried
Tuesday, April 29th , 2025
The Atlanta Braves were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the Colorado Rockies and hurler Max Fried. Fried kept the Braves confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Fried," Atlanta manager Steven G said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 31-year-old left-hander had 2 walks and 5 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Fried said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
Looking at his season stats, Fried has won 3 and lost 3, collecting 43 strikeouts and 11 walks in 47 innings with a 2.87 ERA.
