Guerrero Launches 3 HR for Marlins Wednesday, September 25th , 2024 Vladimir Guerrero went on an explosive hitting spree against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, launching a trio of blasts to help the Miami Marlins win, 13-3. The first baseman finished 3-for-6 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Guerrero said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Minnesota skipper Jonathan A said Guerrero was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Vladimir Guerrero hit a solo-shot off Garrett Richards in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Nick Mikolajchak in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Thomas Szapucki in the 9th. So far on the season, Guerrero is hitting .348 with 34 home runs, 102 RBIs and 116 runs scored. He has 218 hits and played in 153 games. |
