Athletics Captures Wild Card Sunday, September 29th , 2024 It was no easy task for the Oakland Athletics to capture a wild card spot, but the team's players can now breathe easy, knowing they will be a part of the Major League Baseball postseason. "They made us work for it. There aren't many easy games in the American League," said right fielder Kyle Tucker. "We would have liked to have won our way into the playoffs sooner, but we'll take it." The team's record currently sits at 85-76 and they will be vying for the 1st Major League Baseball championship in franchise history. |
