Biloxi Halts Acuna's Hitting Steak Saturday, August 23rd , 2025 The streak has been snapped. Luisangel Acuna failed to get a hit in today's game against the Biloxi Shuckers, bringing his 21-game hitting spree to an end. The 23-year-old Mississippi shortstop was 0-for-4, but the Braves got the win and defeated the Shuckers, 1-0. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Acuna said. "I got to 21 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" So far this year, Acuna is batting .366 with 4 home runs and 53 RBIs. |
