Smokies Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Sunday, September 21st , 2025 The Tennessee Smokies made it look easy and are heading to the Round 2. They have ousted the Rocket City Trash Pandas in a sweep, the final win coming by a 6-5 score, clinching the 4-0 series win. "Everything's clicking for us right now," said Jacob Nottingham, who was named MVP for the series. Nottingham hit .533 with a .588 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Tennessee Smokies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Mississippi Braves - Pensacola Blue Wahoos series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
