Barons Heading to Round 2 Thursday, September 19th , 2024 By a score of 1-0, the Birmingham Barons have sealed a victory in the Round 1 over the Tennessee Smokies. "We knew we would be in for a tough series and that's what we got," said second baseman Lucius Fox of the Barons, who was named the series MVP. "The Smokies knew how to battle and gave us a good test." The next test for Birmingham will come in the Round 2, after winning this series 4-2. The Birmingham Barons will play against the Mississippi Braves in the next round. Mississippi won their series against the Biloxi Shuckers 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
