Round 1 Goes the Distance, Midland Prevails Tuesday, September 23rd , 2025 The Midland RockHounds and San Antonio Missions didn't hold back anything in the Round 1, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Round 2. Midland won the final game by a score of 3-2 at Momentum Bank Ballpark and that concluded the series, 3-2. "Relief is the biggest thing," Midland second baseman Jared Serna said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and San Antonio deserves credit for the hard fight." Serna paced the Midland offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .450 with a .476 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 1 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Midland RockHounds will play against the Tulsa Drillers in the next round. Tulsa won their series against the Wichita Wind Surge 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
