Romero Hit Streak Soars to 30 Games Saturday, June 21st , 2025 The Arkansas Travelers stopped the Corpus Christi Hooks, 6-4, and Mikey Romero collected a base hit yet again. The Arkansas second baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Romero told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Mikey Romero singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Edgar Portes in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Romero has a .357 average and a .388 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 82 hits, 10 home runs and driven in 24 runs. |
