Hit Streak Now at 30 for DeLauter Friday, June 7th , 2024 The Midland RockHounds stopped the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 7-2, and Chase DeLauter collected a base hit yet again. The Midland left fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited DeLauter told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Chase DeLauter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. DeLauter on the season is batting .392 with 5 home runs. His totals include 44 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has played in 53 games. |
