Jackson Chourio Named AA C's Best Player

The future looks extremely bright for Jackson Chourio. At the age of 20, many players are still trying to find their way in Double-A Central.
Chourio has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Double-A Central Most Valuable Player Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .369 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.
The San Antonio Missions star also put up a .429 on-base percentage this year, with 138 hits, 16 doubles, 8 triples, 14 home runs, 81 RBIs and 68 runs scored.
He received 3 first place votes out of a possible 10. Jackson Merrill of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Cody Poteet of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals finished third with 4 first place votes.
