Salem Wins Round 1 Monday, September 22nd , 2025 Salem Red Sox won a nail-biting series against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers 4-3, wrapping up the Round 1 finale 3-2 at Atrium Health Ballpark. Red Sox first baseman Jim Unknown was named the series MVP. He batted .600, drove in 1 runs and scored 0 to lead Salem into the next round of play. "Jim was real solid for us, real solid," said Red Sox manager . "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Salem Red Sox will play against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in the next round. Myrtle Beach had a bye in the Round 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.. |
