It's Over! Salem Defeats Myrtle Beach Monday, September 29th , 2025 The Salem faithful were cheering in the streets, and Myrtle Beach fans wiping away the tears, after the Red Sox won the Round 2 at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark today. The Red Sox clinched it by knocking off the Pelicans 3-1 to take their 1st Low-A East crown. Salem took the series 4-1. "This club never gave up all year long," Salem manager told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Round 2 title, Salem compiled a 72-68 won-loss record and finished first in the Northern Division. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Pelicans manager said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did." |
