Rangers Earn 6-5 Win Versus Angels
|
Roki Sasaki was superb against Los Angeles. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the AL with a 1.10 WHIP, had a splitter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Rangers victory. The score was 6-5. The win belonged to Keegan Thompson in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Andrew Chafin took the loss for Los Angeles. The loss makes Los Angeles 68-76.
Texas got a knockout punch from Heriberto Hernandez. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
