Montgomery Electric in 12-0 Win Tuesday, June 25th , 2024 In a remarkable performance, Chattanooga Lookouts starter Mason Montgomery beat the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, 12-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Lookouts hurler finished with 18 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Pensacola manager said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was." Up to now Montgomery has compiled an ERA of 2.08 with a 6-4 mark over 15 starts. He has 135 strikeouts in 90.2 innings and has held opponents to a .226 batting average. |
